Jupiter Ramirez

September 19, 1971 — August 25, 2025

San Antonio, Texas

Jupiter Ramirez II, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 53. He was born on September 19, 1971, and is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Carrington. He is preceded in death by his parents, Segundo Jupiter Ramirez and Rosa Gurrola Ramirez.

Over the years, Jupiter worked in many different roles, but found true fulfillment in his most recent position with the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. He approached life with passion and curiosity, always eager to learn, connect, and share his remarkable experiences.

Jupiter’s interests were as vibrant as his personality. In his younger years, he traveled widely throughout the western United States and to many countries around the world, sparking a lifelong passion for cultures and languages. He loved music of all kinds, dancing, and the adventure of travel. He had a deep interest in people—their stories, their journeys, and their lives—and loved sharing his own memories just as much. His gregarious nature and ability to connect with others made him a joy to be around. In his younger days he loved skateboarding and playing soccer, and more recently he enjoyed tabletop role-playing games, where he could explore his creativity and imagination. He also loved watching soccer, rugby, and football. His yard was his sanctuary, where he found joy in the outdoors and in the company of Ursa, the dog he rescued as a stray puppy.

Those who knew Jupiter will remember him as larger than life, with a big heart, boundless kindness, and a generosity of spirit. He was brave and always made sure to make his loved ones feel safe. He was always ready to help others and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bexar Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jupiter’s name to any animal charity, honoring his lifelong love of pets and wildlife.
